Just weeks after S Club 7 announced their plans for a reunion tour, Paul Cattermole passed away at the age of 46.
The music icon was discovered dead at his Dorset home yesterday, and there are no suspicious cirsurrounding his passing.

Vernon Kay, Rylan, Lizzie Cundy, and Nicki Chapman are just a few of the well-known figures who have paid tribute to the late celebrity online in the aftermath of the shocking news.
The band’s reunion, set for later this year to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of their debut hit Bring It All Back, had been eagerly anticipated by the band.
Hannah Spearritt, a bandmate and ex-girlfriend of his, is reported to have “broke down” after learning the horrific news, while his bandmates are claimed to be “in horror and disbelief.”

A statement from the band reads: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”
A statement from his family added: “It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.
“Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
“While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time.”

Following the statement being shared with the public, TV personality Lizzie Cundy took to Twitter to write: “So shocked and sad to hear S Club 7 Paul Cattermole has past away. Such a lovely guy . All my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends #RestInPeace.”
TV host Vernon Kay paid tribute to Paul, stating he “always had time for a chat”.
“This is so very sad,” he tweeted. “From when I first started in TV all the way through CBBC, T4, TOTP, smash hits poll winners Paul and Sclub were always there. He always had time for a chat. RIP.”
TV host Rylan tweeted the official account for S Club 7, telling them: “@SClub7 Sending all the love to you all xxx.”

Lorraine Kelly wrote: “This is so sad. Lovely man and he was so looking forward to the #sclub7 reunion. Interviewed them all many times and struck by how gentle and shy he was.”
Paul was one of the original members of S Club 7 but broke hearts across the nation when he quit the band in 2002.
“It had got to the point where things were being handled so badly, I had to go,” Paul told The Guardian.
Paul reconnected with a few former classmates to establish the nu metal group Skua, but the group split in 2003 after they were unable to secure a record deal.
Paul began performing as S Club 3 with Jo and Bradley at nightclubs, universities, and holiday camps across the UK five years after S Club broke up.
Paul, however, had a hard time adjusting to life after the band and was eventually declared bankrupt.
2018 saw Paul’s desperation reach a point where he even sought to flog his Brit Awards on eBay.

Paul said that he had previously attempted to audition for programmes like I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but because he wasn’t “famous enough,” he had been rejected.
He also had trouble finding work, and when working on The Rocky Horror Picture Show, he was injured in an accident that permanently damaged his spine.
On Loose Women in 2018, the penniless singer revealed his severe financial struggles and revealed that he didn’t even have enough money to buy a shirt for the interview.
He asserted that his “mum has helped in a big way this year” when Jane questioned if any family members had assisted him with his financial difficulties.

In addition, he expressed a strong desire to try his hand at reality television, naming I’m A Celeb and Dancing On Ice as examples, but quipped, “For some reason they don’t want me.”
Before making their relationship public in 2001, Paul had a romance with bandmate Hannah that they kept a secret for six months.
When Paul departed the group, they continued to date but called it quits in 2006.
In June 2015, the couple reconciled and were photographed kissing on television. But, in November of the same year, they split up once more.
Paul was searching for love on First Dates Hotel, where he acknowledged that his former life had made it difficult for him to enter a committed relationship and that he wanted to disappear from the spotlight.
Additionally, he said that because it was “written into their TV contracts,” he was compelled to date Hannah for their Hollywood 7 TV shows.

“There was nothing natural about it. It wasn’t how people actually hook up and get together,” he said in 2019.
“Lovely person but not at any point did it hint this would actually lead to…I think because of the lifestyle of work.
“If you are being controlled to the point your girlfriend’s being chosen for you you’re going to quit it. So I did.”
Paul went on to make a shock career change and left the music industry to become a tarot card reader.
The singer-turned-card-reader detailed his skills on the website Ask The Answer, where he wrote: “I have an abundance of experience and knowledge to share with you from my days in pop band S Club 7 to my present role as a spiritual psychic where my reputation over the years has earned me the title of Psychic Detective.

“I have a keen interest in getting to the root and cause of any problem as an Intuitive Paranormal Investigator.”
He also claimed to be a psychic, clairvoyant and spirit coach, as well as a tarot card reader.
