After ‘blacking out’ 80% of her body with tattoo ink, Von D, actual name Katherine von Drachenberg, who shot to popularity for her appearance on the reality TV series LA Ink, has published the results.
The 41-year-old inventor of the KVD Beauty Makeup Collection posted a video of the historic event to Instagram on October 19 to share with her 9.5 million followers. Look at this:
She used the social media platform to share a video of the drawn-out procedure and a FAQ about black out tattoos with her followers.
Von D, who was recently baptised, disclosed that she had ’17 sessions’ over the course of ‘nearly 40 accumulative hours’ to reach the point where she was ‘approximately 80% done with blacking out’ her body.
She explained that she had been “consistently flying out” to Philadelphia to have tattoos done by the tattoo artist Hoode Philly at his “lovely tattoo shop” known as the Black Vulture Gallery.
Before launching into the Q&A, Von D cautioned her audience, “Perhaps before commenting any negativity, just remind yourself: What you consider ugly, might be beautiful to someone else.”
“If you don’t like your tattoos, why don’t you get them lasered off?” read the first question on the list.
“I actually did start lasering tattoos,” Von D admitted, “and while I believe laser tattoo removal to be effective, I personally wasn’t a suitable candidate given the amount of coverage I wanted to erase.“Laser is a slow (and extremely painful) process, that depending on your tattoo, can take more than 10 sessions, including long healing periods in between.”
“Are you going to tattoo white over it?” was the second item on the list. Von D simply responded, “Nope,” to this.
She continued: “I love the simplicity of the black — but definitely have seen some beautiful ones where people tattoo white over their black out.”
Von D reassured anyone concerned about how the blackout tattoo would affect her health: “I’ve had tattoos for almost three decades and have never experienced any harmful effects.
‘BLACK ALIEN’ SAYS HE USED TO BE A ‘VERY SEXY GUY’ BEFORE HIS TRANSFORMATION
A man who has transformed into a “Black Alien” claimed that before his change, he was a “very sexy guy.”
To totally transform his appearance, Anthony Loffredo has had several body alteration treatments and tattoo sessions.
The Frenchman has had his tongue forked, his eyeballs tattooed, two fingers amputated, his nose and ears removed, as well as arm implants. Being only 57 percent of the way through his change, he also hopes to have a limb amputated.
Loffredo revealed that people are often quite judgmental and that he frequently receives trolling comments on social media as a result of his new appearance.
In a recent Channel 4 programme, when challenged about his significant physical changes, he says he’s content with his new appearance because his former,’sexy’ body was the wrong fit for him.
Speaking to filmmaker Arthur Bruel, the pair form a weird yet wonderful relationship. Loffredo shows Bruel some before and after pictures, including one face shot where he has zero modifications and another where he gives the camera his best smoulder while he crosses his massive arms.
“Happy, but not in the right body,” he tells the filmmaker.
“But you were a very good-looking guy,” Bruel responds.
“Very sexy guy,” Loffredo clarifies.
When Bruel asks why he decided to change, Loffredo says: “But I’m the same person! Same heart!”
He continues: “But it’s not my body, my real body.”
Loffredo also says that ‘deep down’ he was unhappy with his old body.
Later in the documentary, Loffredo and Bruel talk to members of the public in Mexico, where Loffredo is currently based.
One man asks if Loffredo has ‘tattooed his intimate areas’, and he confirms he has.
“Yes, I have!” he says with a laugh.
And then Loffredo meets two women on a bench who clearly show an interest in him.
“Show me your tongue!” one woman asks, before firing more questions about its green colour.
“It’s tattooed, it’s ink,” Loffredo responds, appearing to be unfazed by the woman’s fascination with him.
“Do you think Anthony is sexy?” Bruel asks the woman one-on-one.
“Yes!” she giggles, before adding that she finds him attractive.
Just in case you start shipping the pair, Loffredo reveals to Bruel he actually has a lady friend in Mexico City already.
So, perhaps he’s just a different kind of ‘sexy guy’ now.
MAN GETS SIX-PACK TATTOOED ON BELLY TO MAKE SURE HE’S ‘SUMMER READY’
A man got a pair of rock-hard six-pack abs tattooed onto his tummy to ensure he will always be prepared for the summer.
Although it may seem a little early to start thinking about preparing for the warmer weather, we are already in the third month of 2023, and before we know it, the sun will be blazing down on us with great intensity.
He made the decision to only get the appearance of a six-pack without going through the trouble of obtaining or maintaining a toned belly, clearly questioning why anyone would deal with the difficult labour of training and nutrition.
It only took him two days with a tattoo artist to get the tattoo, which is much less time than he would need to spend working up a sweat at the gym. The tattoo guarantees that he will always have a body that is ready for summer.
Dean said: “He always wanted to have a six-pack but he’s not too keen on going to the gym or doing a diet.
“So, he decided that by getting a six-pack tattoo, he will always look summer ready while still being able to enjoy beer and good food.
“I was excited to do this tattoo because I’ve seen someone do it before, but it didn’t look realistic, and it was basic black outlines. So, I decided to take on this challenge and do it completely differently. It’s been one of my most unusual requests, but I am all for it.”
Overall, the tattoo of a six-pack looks very decent, and given that it would be somewhat noticeable, you’d really hope it does for the sake of the guy who wants it.
Instead of having one of those extremely hideous tattoos that everyone can see and that just look terrible, he has managed to get tattooed in such a way that his belly can be mistaken for a six-pack from a distance.
Similar to the woman who had “L” and “R” tattooed on her hands so she could always discern left from right, this tattoo similarly serves a functional purpose.
Here’s hoping he enjoys his tattoo for years to come and impresses everyone when it’s time to get shirts off for summer.
