There’s a new, healthier Snickers bar coming to town in 2023.
With a new candy bar that has a twist, Snickers is entering the nutritional market.
A Snickers Hi Protein bar will be released in the new year, according to a press statement from Mars Wrigley, the manufacturer of the popular candy bar.
The new bars “include the same delightful chocolate, caramel, and peanut ingredients characteristic to SNICKERS but now packed with twenty (20) grammes of protein giving the nutritional profile consumers demand, with the taste they desire,” according to the statement.
According to Mars Wrigley, the bars are intended for both extremely active people and those who are “emerging as exercise-curious.”
Mars Wrigley’s Senior Brand Director, Michelle Deignan, stated: “Mars is consumer obsessed, and after talking with many consumers through the product development process, it was clear that the performance nutrition category was missing one key ingredient – delicious tasting products.”
She continued, “With the demand for delicious tasting protein bars increasing, SNICKERS Hi Protein bars are guaranteed to be a hit whether you work out avidly, casually or are looking for a delicious snack with more protein.”

Although the Snickers Hi Protein bars are not yet on the market, they will be in January 2023 and will help you start your New Year’s resolutions off right. Later in the year, the bars will be sold all over the country.
Earlier in 2022, Mars also revealed plans to collaborate with B&G Foods to develop a brand-new spice with Snickers flavour that can be used on ice cream, waffles, fruit, popcorn, and more.
The spice is stated to “recreate the mouth-watering taste of an authentic Snickers bar by combining the exquisite blend of chocolate, peanut, and caramel tastes from the iconic chocolate bar.”
