Everyone who has seen a John Wick movie will be aware that the series is filled with action, violence, and violent action.

Despite the fact that Reeves is arguably the nicest man in movies, his character is renowned for not sparing any souls during the course of his four-movie spree.

This most recent one has even more action, with Reeves pulling off numerous stunts involving high-speed car chases, nunchucks, all of that good stuff.

In the end, that not only had an impact on Reeves personally but also on a substantial portion of the film crew.

In an interview, he said: “Well I mean everyone is pretty tired – but it’s the best kind of tired.

“It’s like you climbed a mountain now you’re resting; like you finished the game and you won.”

On the accident that left a man injured, he explained: “So in terms of accidents: I made a mistake once – I cut a gentleman’s head open.

“So that really f***ing sucked – excuse my language.

“But other than that… oh, one guy got hit by a car.

“He was in the car, so he had to go to the hospital, but he was okay.

Then, mimicking a public service announcement, Reeves added: “There’s some bruising and aches and pains, but ‘no humans were harmed in the filming of this motion picture!’”

Reeves said that filming the most recent installment of the John Wick series was the hardest action movie he has ever had to do.

“And it’s more by a good margin. It’s a big show.

John Wick: Chapter 4 was the hardest physical role I’ve ever had in my career so far.

“They really trained me up to be able to have what we call the toolbox.”

The items in that toolbox are quite avant-garde.

He had to drive through a ridiculously tight space while reloading a weapon and firing out the car window for one stunt.

That meant he had to practise for three months to get ready for the physical demands of firing – not the gun, but the stunts.
