Jenna Ortega, 20, Finally Addresses Rumour She’s Dating Johnny Depp, 60

In Beetlejuice 2, which will be directed by Tim Burton, a regular partner of Johnny Depp’s on eight films, Jenna Ortega is slated to make an appearance.

According to rumours, the 1988 classic’s sequel could feature a surprise appearance from the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

Because of this, some people have begun to speculate that Ortega and Depp are now an item.

However, the rumour has now been cleaned up by the Scream star.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Ortega dismissed the relationship rumours, adding that she has never even met Depp.

“This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh,” she said. “I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone.”

Rumours about the pair began to swirl after gossip blog Deuxmoi posted that Depp and Ortega had been spotted together while working on Beetlejuice 2.

Along with Ortega, a representative for the Edward Scissorhands actor has also squashed the reports.

Speaking to NME, the rep said: “Mr Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her.

“He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumours that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”

So that’s put those rumours to bed.

It also seemingly dismisses the reports that Depp will appear in Beetlejuice 2, which is set to be released next year.
