Last week we revealed that Justin Theroux has joined the cast of the Bettlejuice sequel and now two more additional names have been added to the cast! After the success of Wednesdays, Tim Burton’s last project, it seems the world is ready for him to create some more cinematic magic! You are aware of what it implies, right? It’s time to discuss the long-rumored Beetlejuice sequel, which is a celebrated classic.
Even though we don’t know many plot points of Beetlejuice 2, we do know that the cast is shaping up to be spooky, ooky and FANTASTIC! The newest signing are Monica Belluci and Willem Dafoe who joins the other names already to be confirmed for the movie.
Jenna Ortega, Wednesday’s breakthrough star, has formally agreed to join the ensemble along with actors from the original movies Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara and the main man himself Michael Keaton.
Jenna Ortega is rumoured to be playing the daughter of Lydia, Winona Ryder’s iconic teen goth from the original movie. And while there’s no official word yet on whether Ryder herself will be returning for the sequel, we can only hope that she’ll be back to deliver some more of that moody, broody Lydia goodness.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – “But wait, hasn’t there been talk of a Beetlejuice sequel for years? Is this really happening?” It has now been confirmed that the movie will be released in theatres on September 6, 2024!
So start practicing your best Harry Belafonte dance moves and get ready to revisit the twisted, dark world of Beetlejuice. Because with the return of Michael Keaton and the new additions of Jenna Ortega and Justin Theroux to the cast, this is going to be one sequel that’s worth the wait.
