Carmen lives in a standard council house in Devon that she rents from her landlord and yet this doesn’t stop her turning her home into the most incredible displays both inside and outside!

People are sometimes startled to learn that Carmen leases the property because she decorates it so lavishly, even indoors. She says that occasionally she even worries herself, but that her landlord is okay with her doing the constructions as long as she pays the rent on time and doesn’t cause any property damage.

When Carmen transformed her home in Chantry Meadow, Alphington into a massive Christmas gingerbread house, she quickly gained local and online fame. As far afield as an Alaskan radio station, her inventiveness has captivated the attention of many.
She has amassed a sizable fan following on Instagram and TikTok under the handle @clashcreativehome where she shares videos of herself making her displays, fun tutorials and the amazing creations she invents by herself!

Carmen decorated her house for Valentine’s Day earlier this year with a giant stack of candy hearts that were arranged to seem as though they were dripping from a window on the first floor.
She then went on to create a brilliant Easter display that even Willy Wonka would be jealous of featuring giant eggs, a bunny, chocolate bricks and huge larger than life daffodils.
But her creations don’t stop there! From exploring and picking up cheap items at car boot sales, Carmen can turn anything and everything into something special including Wotsits crisp packet blinds, fake fruit magnets, colourful cutlery ceiling displays and giant candy wrapper cushions!

And her displays don’t end with chocolate houses. Oh no! The interior designer has even created displays for christmas and halloween and never stops exploring her creativity and coming up with brand new ideas!
Along with running The Prop Factory, a small local prop shop, she she spends her time decorating her house as a hobby. The Prop Factory allows her to source materials and document the process while posting it online for social media marketing.
