The old passenger plane was destined for the scrapyard until it caught the eye of Jo Ann. Undeterred by its apparent fate, she seized the opportunity and acquired the retired aircraft, shipping it to a plot of land she owned, where her extraordinary journey would take flight.

Jo Ann dedicated six months of her life to breathe new life into the retired aircraft armed with her skills and creativity. She turned the plane’s hollow shell into a comfortable abode that would soon soar above expectations with the modest budget of just $30,000.
When the transformation was complete the Boeing 727 was a fully-functioning home, boasting three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and even an unexpected twist—a hot tub right where the cockpit once sat.
From 1995 to 1999, Jo Ann called the transformed plane her home, living amid the wings and fuselage.
Sadly while the plane was being moved for public display the beloved Boeing 727 met an untimely end however the story has inspired others to create something similar.
