Bears in a Chinese zoo are causing a storm online

After a video of a sun bear rising on its hind legs sparked internet claims of a furry impostor, a Chinese zoo was compelled to deny that its sun bear is actually a human in a costume.
Bears frequently stand on their hind legs to get a better perspective of their environment. Pictures of one of the sun bears at the Hangzhou Zoo, a kind of bear found in southeast Asia, standing at the outside of its enclosure with its fur hanging above its legs sparked claims that the bear may possibly be a zoo employee hiding in a disguise.

@cnn A zoo in China told visitors its sun bears are real, after videos of the animal standing like a person went viral on Chinese social media, prompting rumors that it was a human in disguise.
The zoo, however, dispelled the claims, claiming that the bear was real and that those who disagreed with it ‘really don’t understand me’ in a statement published on Sunday from the bear’s point of view.
The bear, dubbed Angela, made the claim in a statement:
‘The zoo director called me after work yesterday and asked if I’d been slacking off by finding a two-legged beast to replace me. Some people thought the way I stand up looks too human… so I will stress again: I’m a sun bear!’

Sun bears are native to Southeast Asia, where they get their name from a distinctive patch of brilliant orange or cream-colored breast fur that contrasts with the remainder of their jet-black coat.
According to the zoo, compared to grizzlies and other species, which may reach heights of up to 2.8 metres (9 feet), sun bears are roughly the size of large dogs, reaching at best 1.3 metres (just above 4 feet) tall on their hind legs.
Is this really a bear or could it be a man in a suit waving at the crowds as seen here from an image posted on Twitter?
It certainly is a mystery – maybe we need to take a trip to see for ourselves!
