The MET Gala’s theme for 2023 is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, and despite earlier rumours to the contrary, a lot of famous people will still attend, including Kim Kardashian.
The VIP gala, which will take place on Monday, May 1, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the centre of New York City, will be overseen by Anna Wintour.

The 2023 MET Gala will be managed and hosted by Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, together with co hosts made up of actress Penelope Cruz, singer Dua Lipa, comedian and actress Michaela Coel, and tennis champion Roger Federer.
During the course of his career, Karl Lagerfeld created notable collections for a variety of opulent companies, including Chanel, Balmain, and Fendi. The designer went away in 2019 as a result of complications from pancreatic cancer.
Gilded Glamour was the prominent subject from the previous year, while other, more general topics have also been selected in the past, such Camp: Notes on Fashion in 2019.

But EXACTLY how much does it cost someone to attend the fashion event of the year? Ahead of the approaching event this year, the MET Gala dramatically increased ticket prices to $50k.
After invitees had previously paid about $30k per person to attend, the glitzy event, which has been hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour since 1995, dramatically increased the cost of tickets by a stunning $20k.
It’s definitely a steep price to pay however with all eyes on the event and reporters from every news outlet in the world attending it’s no surprise that celebrities of all professions will pay for a seat at the fashion event.
The exposure from this event either from wearing something beautiful or…. less beautiful will grant you headlines around the world and can keep your name current and topical not to mention viral.
