The real words to ‘Poker Face’ are actually: ‘Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah), Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah)’.
After learning the lyrics’ true meaning, a lot of admirers have now turned to social media to express their feelings.
Even if her followers are only now becoming aware of the lyrics’ true meaning, Lady Gaga has never officially refuted the lyrics’ sexual content.
She even gave them a subtle wink during a 2009 concert.
She acknowledged on stage that the station was the only one to actually accurately censor the song while she was performing at iHeartRadio Wango Tango, an annual concert hosted by the US radio station KIIS FM.
Speaking to the audience, Lady Gaga said: “KIIS FM is the smartest radio station in the whole world and I’ll tell you why.
“Because this song, it got played all over the world on tens of thousands of radio stations, but KIIS FM was the only one that said I had to censor my lyric because they thought I might be saying something bad.
“And out of all the radio stations in the world that played this record over and over, KIIS FM was the only one that was right and caught on.”
