In her new memoir, Britney Spears has disclosed the true reason she shaved her head in 2007.

The celebrity is preparing for the publication of her autobiography, and after passages were made public on October 17th, shocking personal discoveries have already surfaced.

However, the singer’s discussion about her iconic choice to shave her head is one of the biggest surprises.

The singer made news in February 2007 for shaving off her hair in a Los Angeles salon, a move that would go down in pop cultural history.

The pop artist has spoken about the reasons behind her decision to cut her dark hair in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir The Woman In Me.

“I’d been eyeballed so much growing up. I’d been looked up and down, had people telling me what they thought of my body, since I was a teenager,” she writes in an excerpt shared with PEOPLE.

“Shaving my head and acting out were my ways of pushing back,” Spears added.

In 2008, the pop icon entered a conservatorship under her father’s care, losing control over the majority of her personal affairs, including the management of her estate and basic wealth.

“Under the conservatorship I was made to understand that those days were now over,” she wrote.

“I had to grow my hair out and get back into shape. I had to go to bed early and take whatever medication they told me to take.”

After the #FreeBritney movement, which began in 2019 amid claims that Spears had stopped touring because she was being confined in a facility by her father against her will, Spears’ conservatorship was finally lifted in November 2021.

The singer of “Toxic” made an emotional plea before a Los Angeles judge during the trial, saying she “just wants her life back.”

“I want to end the conservatorship without being evaluated,” Spears said.

“This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good,” she added.

“I deserve to have a life … I’m great at what I do. All I want is to own my money … [and] share my story to the world. I want to be able to be heard.”

The singer posted an image to Instagram holding a glass of champagne to celebrate being released from her lengthy conservatorship.

“I’m celebrating my freedom and my B day for the next two months,” she wrote.

“I mean after 13 years…I think I’ve waited long enough. I’m so happy my lawyer Mathew Rosengart came into my life when he did… he has truly turned my life around… I’m forever thankful for that.”

The Woman In Me is set to be released in October 24.

Britney Spears Breaks Silence After Cops Perform Wellness Check Over Concerning Knives Video

In a harrowing episode that sent shockwaves through the world, Britney Spears confronted her darkest fears as fans and the law watched on in despair and hope. Here’s the riveting sequence of events:

The Disturbing Video:

Britney Spears, the enigmatic pop icon, sent shivers down the spines of her fans when she shared an Instagram video. In it, she danced provocatively with two large knives, perilously close to her own body.

While Spears initially brushed off the mounting concerns, her behavior set off alarm bells among her devoted fanbase. A worried viewer pointed out that sometimes actions speak louder than words, an ominous sign that something might be deeply wrong.

The Police Respond:

Local law enforcement, heedful of the growing fears, sprang into action. They conducted a wellness check at Spears’ Thousand Oaks, California home. The very fabric of reality seemed to blur as the world watched.

A spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that a deputy responded to the distress call from someone with intimate ties to Spears. The LAPD swiftly requested an official wellness check.

As the authorities closed in on her sanctuary, a call from Spears’ attorney pierced the tense atmosphere. It offered a glimmer of hope: she was not in danger. A member of her security team echoed the sentiment – the songstress was, against all odds, safe and sound.

In the aftermath of this chilling episode, Spears returned to Instagram, intent on dispelling the shadows that had loomed over her. Another video surfaced, but this time, she held the truth like a beacon. Spears disclosed that the knives were mere props, rented for a performance.

With a fiery spirit, she declared, “No one needs to worry or call the police.” The singer, once adrift in darkness, claimed inspiration from one of her idols, Shakira. A defiant tribute to the power of resilience and artistic expression.

Reconnecting with Shakira:

Her references to Shakira stemmed from the Colombian singer’s electrifying performance at the MTV VMAs. Shakira, too, had danced with two prop knives, leaving an indelible mark on Spears.

A Glimmer of Hope:

As the dust settled, Spears’ fans breathed a collective sigh of relief. Amidst the storm, a ray of hope emerged. The pop sensation was poised to release her book, “The Woman in Me,” on October 24th.

Britney Spears’ harrowing journey through darkness and redemption continues to captivate the world, reminding us all that even amidst the darkest hours, there is room for hope, resilience, and transformation.

Britney Spears Confirms She Had Abortion With Justin Timberlake Aged 17

In a shocking revelation, excerpts from Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me,” have unveiled deeply personal details, including a past abortion she underwent at the age of 17, when she became pregnant by her then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

The memoir delves into her tumultuous 13-year conservatorship under her father, James Spears, where Spears was stripped of her autonomy. She sheds light on the attitude of Justin Timberlake at the time of her pregnancy, sharing that he was “not happy” about the situation and made it clear that they were not prepared for parenthood.

Ms. Spears recounted Timberlake’s perspective in her memoir: “He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives.” Furthermore, she disclosed that Timberlake was “so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

Although Spears had reservations about the procedure, she stated that she would not have chosen abortion if the decision had been solely hers. She added, “For me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.”

This striking revelation has stirred considerable interest, with many wondering about Timberlake’s response. The BBC has reached out to Justin Timberlake for comment.

The superstar couple dated from 1999 to 2002, a period of intense public scrutiny, and their relationship is the focus of intense curiosity to this day. Britney Spears has since had two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with her second husband, Kevin Federline.

The memoir, scheduled for release on October 24, arrives two years after the termination of her conservatorship. Spears describes the conservatorship as having “stripped her of her womanhood.” She has previously characterized the arrangement as abusive, initiated by her father in 2008 following her widely publicized breakdown and head-shaving incident.

Spears testified to the court in 2021, alleging that she had been drugged, coerced into performing against her will, and denied the opportunity to have more children while under conservatorship. The arrangement extended control over her financial affairs, career choices, personal matters such as visitation with her teenage sons, and her ability to remarry.

In her upcoming memoir, Spears offers further insights into the harrowing experience of the conservatorship. She described the suppression of her true self and the divide between her public persona as a “wild” performer and her private life as a robot under the conservatorship’s constraints.

Spears also divulged that she was subjected to body-shaming and infantilization by her father, leading to the erosion of her passion for performing. While the book shares darker moments from her life, it also delves into joyous memories from her childhood and a brief return to a semblance of normalcy in Kentwood, Louisiana.

The release of the memoir has allowed Spears to reflect on her transformation over the years and embrace her newfound identity as a strong and confident woman after escaping the clutches of her conservatorship. Her journey is undoubtedly one of resilience, self-discovery, and unwavering determination.
