It’s been nearly 12 years since the final installment in the Harry Potter film series hit the big screen and yet we still continue to love the Wizarding World with all of our muggle hearts! The series that gave us our favourite golden trip in Harry, Ron and Hermione continues to be watched by millions of people EVERY year and has since been licensed by Netflix with all 8 films premiering on Netflix‘s top 10 most watched list when added last month to their library.
NEW HARRY POTTER SEVEN SEASON REMAKE IS IN THE WORKS AT HBO
While the Fantastic Beast series failed to recreate the nostalgia and capture the attention that the original series of films did, one thing that DEFINITELY caught our attention was HBO’s announcement that they are producing a brand new series based on the 7 Potter books by author JK Rowling.
With the announcement came mass speculation as to who could fill the boots of the all the original cast who did an incredible job the first time round with many actors like Robbie Coltrane, Helen McCrory and Alan Rickman sadly passing away since filming wrapped. The cast is what created such a brilliant series as much as the beautiful sets and the fantastic beasts (see what we did there!) and so we can’t wait to see just who is picked to act in this new Wizarding World instalment.

Tiktok user TheMovieDweeb is known for asking the best questions to the stars of the biggest Hollywood TV shows and films and was most recently interviewing ‘The Boy Who Lived‘ himself Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, along with costar Geraldine Viswanathan, for their new series of Miracle Workers.
During the interview TheMovieDweeb was able to ask the question everyone wanted to know the answer to ‘Will you be in the new show and which character would you play?‘

So what was Daniel Radcliffe’s answer? Well it’s no surprise that after idolising the actor who played the role so well in the film that Dan Rad chose the incredible character Sirius Black, played by the amazing Gary Oldman!
HARRY POTTER FILMING LOCATIONS TO VISIT ON A UK ROAD TRIP
Sirius Black is the godfather to Harry Potter in the series, a role model who shares some really cute and touching scenes with the boy wizard and we think that Daniel Radcliffe would be the PERFECT actor to pass on the baton to the news series!
HOWEVER during the interview Daniel Radcliffe does sadly declare that he WON’T be involved in the new Harry Potter series which is disappointing and devastating news for Potterheads everywhere. However after playing The Boy Who Lived for 10 years in eight films I think we’ve had our fair share of Daniel Radcliffe’s time in the Wizarding World and we can’t wait to see who IS going to be cast!
