When people learn they have been opening advent calendars incorrectly for their “whole life,” they are shocked.

Contrary to what you might believe, there is no one “correct” way to open an advent calendar. At least that is what one TikTok user, supernoodle2, claims in a brief video that explains why “you have been doing it wrong your whole life.” The video has received hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of likes.

Another called supernoodle2 the “smartest person in the USA.”

However, a lot of people were not too happy about it. And of the video’s hundreds of comments, many are in disbelief with some pointing to one fatal flaw in the theory.

One commenter put it well. Daniel said: “So then why is the best thing on the 24th or 25th.”

William Court said: “But 24th is the biggest?”

Jessica added: “The Lint ones have a massive Santa at 24, so NO.”

Adriane Boyden thought similarly. She said: “No, no and guess what, no” followed by a face-palm emoji.
