Pete Davidson has been described as “sort of cute” by Martha Stewart, who admitted she would be open to going on a date with him.
The 81-year-old lifestyle expert participated in a game of “Red Flag, Yellow Flag, Green Flag” on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday. In essence, she was presented with potential dates and asked to select whether she was interested (green), sure she didn’t want to go (red), or undecided (yellow).
“There’s a thing on the internet where everybody wants you to go on a date with him,” Barrymore told Stewart.
Stewart then pointed out that the 28-year-old SNL star has “dated so many women,” which she thought was a good thing.
“No, I’m not saying that’s bad,” she insisted. “I think that’s good and he’s sort of cute.”
When Barrymore suggested going out with someone who “has as many tattoos as Pete Davidson.” Stewart raised an obvious red flag. When Barrymore upped the game and hinted that this fictitious rendezvous would truly be with Davidson, who is 53 years her junior, Stewart once more showed interest.
Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor has recently dated people like Kate Beckinsale and Kim Kardashian, and he was even engaged to Ariana Grande.
The TV continued by saying that “everybody loves” Davidson, adding: “I know him…He was on the [Justin] Bieber roast with me, do you remember? He was this little twerp. He was even twerpier than Bieber.”
Barrymore cut in to add that people only have good things to say about Davidson, so “he has to be a good guy.”
“Oh, he is a good guy,” Stewart echoed, “He’s a very good guy and he knows how to get in and get out.”
He’s like my lost son,” Stewart said in response to Barrymore’s remark that “age is not a factor for” Davidson, which seemed to ruin everyone’s hopes.
Following Davidson’s breakup with Kim Kardashian in August, Stewart told the Daily Mail, “He is like the son I never had.”
She added: “He is a charming boy who is finding his way. I’ve invited him to come on my podcast and I look forward to hearing what he has to say.”
