According to reports, Bam Margera is hospitalised and suffering from a severe case of pneumonia.

The 43-year-old Jackass star was admitted to the hospital in San Diego earlier this week, as first reported by TMZ. According to the publication, Margera’s pneumonia has become “complex” as a result of a positive Covid test.

According to TMZ, Margera is receiving treatment in the ICU and has been put on a ventilator by medical professionals (Intensive Care Unit).

Thankfully, sources familiar with the incident have told TMZ that Margera’s condition is stable.

The worrying information comes after Margera fled from a Florida rehab facility back in June and was reported missing at least twice earlier this year.

The father of one was reportedly booked into the Delray Beach treatment centre at the time to finish a court-ordered programme, according to MailOnline. After receiving a call about a “emotionally troubled guy,” authorities took him to the treatment facility in their company.

The former MTV star’s therapy seemed to be going well when Margera happily celebrated “one year of treatment” for drug and alcohol misuse on Instagram. He uploaded a photo of himself in black and white with the words “1 year!” scrawled on his hand.

Margera, however, reportedly quit the facility after growing “unsatisfied” with the management. He didn’t, however, make any obvious attempts to elude capture during his two days on the run. Throughout it all, he was active on social media, posting a selfie to his Instagram story with his wife Nicole Boyd and rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Margera was picked up by police and returned to the rehabilitation centre from where he had escaped after only a few days and will now resume his treatment there.

Margera, whose full name is Brandon Cole Margera, is arguably most known for being a beloved Jackass cast member who appeared in 25 episodes of the show’s initial run and in its wildly popular spin-off films.

At this moment, we send Margera our best wishes.
