At his own “funeral,” David Baerten, also known online as Ragnar Le Fou, finished the prank by making his appearance from a helicopter.

This seems like the storyline of a strange movie, yet it actually happened close to the Belgian city of Liège.

WORLD’S TALLEST WOMAN FINALLY TAKES A FLIGHT BY LYING DOWN THE ENTIRE TIME

With the aid of his wife and kids, the 45-year-old TikToker, who has over 165,000 followers, planned this intricate scam.

The family apparently participated in the joke, which was intended to impart a priceless lesson on the importance of maintaining relationships.

Even his daughter turned to social media to vent her sorrow, posting a moving tribute to her “deceased” father.

She wrote ‘Rest in peace, Daddy. Why is life so unfair? Why you? You were going to be a grandfather, and you still had your whole life ahead of you. I love you! We love you! We will never forget you’

Baerten had the agony of growing far from his extended family in a society where many people are preoccupied with their own life.

He described in an interview: ‘What I see in my family often hurts me, I never get invited to anything. Nobody sees me. We all grew apart. I felt unappreciated. That’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson and show them that you shouldn’t wait until someone is dead to meet up with them’

His helicopter appearance to the burial was the pinnacle of this bizarre scene. With a glass, Baerten welcomed his shocked family and friends, signifying a fresh start and underscoring the lesson he wished to teach.

Despite the prank’s mixed reception, Baerten thinks it succeeded. The fake funeral was only attended by half of his relatives.

It seems like a serious way of finding out which of your family are really there for you but it’s certainly got the internet and the whole of TikTok talking!
