DISNEY ANNOUNCES CAST FOR NEW LILO AND STITCH LIVE ACTION FILM
Disney has just released the trailer for it’s new Haunted Mansion film coming July 28th and it’s perfect for fans of all things ooky, spooky and mysterious! The studio has released its new trailer alongside a film poster featuring some big names who are leading parts of the cast and we can’t wait!
Based on the iconic ride featuring at Disneyland the upcoming film will center around Rosario Dawson’s character Gabbie who buys a mansion in New Orleans for an extremely low price and when moving in with her son finds that the mansion is in fact haunted! Knowing she can’t rid the premises of ghosts herself she enlists the help of various characters (played by a star studded cast) to word off the spirits and set them free.

Among the famous ensemble cast we have a priest played by Owen Wilson, a historian played by Danny DeVito, a mystical psychic played by Tiffany Haddish, Jamie Lee Curtis as Madam Leota and a paranormal expert played by Lakeith Stanfield.

The poster was exclusively released by Disney as part of their D23 Magazine and is showcasing their second film adaption of their famous ride, the first being in 2003 and starring Eddie Murphy.
Inside the magazine the director Justin Simien teased that “it’s such a refreshing and funny take on a ‘ride movie’ that also strikes this unexpectedly personal chord.”
Combining humour with ghosts, ghouls, spirits and skeletons has always been an easy feat for Disney with the original ride being over 53 years old and we can’t wait to see how this super cast and brilliant director bring one of our favourite Disney attractions to life…or death!
