DWAYNE JOHNSON HAS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED THE LIVE ACTION REMAKE OF DISNEY’S MOANA
The rumours of a live action Lilo and Stitch movie have been swirling for years and after being confirmed by Disney last year we have been excited to see who they cast in this iconic Disney film which came out over 20 years ago!
In the movie, Lilo, a little Hawaiian girl, is raised by her older sister Nani as their parents passed away suddenly. Stitch is an unregistered extraterrestrial experiment with dog-like traits that crashes on Earth after escaping incarceration. Lilo, who struggles to make friends and connect with others around her, ends up befriending Stitch when finds him and the two become close friends and make an effort to fend off the aliens who are attempting to get Stitch back.
Maia Kealoha, a six-year-old Hawaiian actor, is the star of the ensemble and will portray Lilo. Although this is Kealoha’s first on-screen appearance, the newcomer has already gained notoriety in her own Hawaii after taking first place in the 2023 Little Miss Kona Coffee contest.
The character of Nani, Lilo’s elder sister who plays a crucial part as Lilo’s guardian, has been cast on Sydney Agudong. Agudong, a performer from Hawaii who goes by the stage name Jayne Doe, is a singer in addition to acting.
FROZEN AND TANGLED ATTRACTIONS TO OPEN IN DISNEYLAND PARIS
According to reports, Kahiau Machado, another relative rookie to acting, will portray Nani’s boyfriend David. The Hawaiian actor is a surfer and a former collegiate athlete, which suits the interests of the role of David.
According to rumours, Zach Galifianakis will be trying to catch Stitch in the live-action Lilo & Stitch as the alien agent Pleakley! Galifianakis, who is most known for his role as Alan in the Hangover films, should bring hilarious humour to this excellent part!
Cobra Bubbles, one of the adversaries who is attempting to kidnap Stitch, is played by multi award winner Courtney B. Vance. Vance is an Emmy Award Winner and best known for his work in HBO’s Lovecraft Country.

Disney has continued to release many of their classic films as live action films to much success including Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin and we can’t wait to see exactly how this film turns out! But although it’s a remake we hope there is one line they keep from the original…’Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten’.
