Get ready for a wicked twist on the classic Snow White tale, brought to you by the folks at The Daily Wire! It’s time to dive into the whimsical world of ‘Snow White and the Evil Queen,’ and you won’t believe the buzz it’s causing…very much like the Disney version!
The conservative media company, The Daily Wire, just dropped a teaser trailer for their upcoming live-action Snow White movie, featuring the popular YouTuber, Brett Cooper, as the leading lady and based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale, which is now up for grabs in the public domain.
Jeremy Boreing, the co-founder of The Daily Wire, had some magical words to share: “It’s a story about a princess and a prince, about beauty and vanity, about love and its power to raise us from death to life.” Oh, did we mention it’s their own unique take on this ancient fairy tale?
This grand reveal happened while they were launching “Bentkey,” The Daily Wire’s brand-new kids’ entertainment venture, ready to take on Disney+. Yep, you heard that right. They’re stepping into the ring just when some conservatives have been raising an eyebrow at the good old legacy studio.
Jeremy Boreing had even more to say, “It’s taken 100 years to build Disney… While Disney still uses Walt’s name, they have all but abandoned his legacy.”
Brett Cooper, who hosts The Comments Section With Brett Cooper, a show produced by The Daily Wire is thrilled to bits about this Snow White project: “I was raised on the original Grimms’ Fairy Tales, so I’m thrilled that we’re bringing this iconic story to life for the next generation!” Cooper said,
“Snow White is such a beautiful character, and I’m honored to be playing her. Like all the best fairy tales, this is a story with timeless values, like love, friendship, and kindness, and I can’t wait to share them.” Sounds like he’s ready to make Snow White shine like never before.
So why is The Daily Wire stepping into the spotlight with this Snow White flick?
Well, it all started with Disney’s own live-action Snow White remake, which caused quite the stir in the culture-war arena. First, some conservative voices took issue with the casting of Rachel Zegler, a Latina star, as a character originally described as having “skin as white as snow.”
And then, Disney decided to shake things up by turning the seven dwarfs into a diverse collection of magical creatures, varying in size and gender. That really got some folks talking.
And if that wasn’t enough, Zegler herself stirred the cauldron with her comments. She let everyone in on the secret that this Snow White won’t be your typical dreamy princess. “She’s not going to be dreaming about true love,” Zegler spilled the beans.
“She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and the leader that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”
“The original is extremely dated when it comes to the ideas of women being in roles of power and what a woman is fit for in the world.” And you can’t forget her take on the original cartoon, where “there’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. So we didn’t do that this time.”
Well, Disney is certainly cooking up a different kind of Snow White magic.
The showdown is set for 2024. ‘Snow White and the Evil Queen’ is gearing up to hit the screens, and Disney’s Snow White will be taking the stage on March 22, 2024. Disney has yet to chime in on The Daily Wire’s enchanting project, but we’re eagerly awaiting the magic that’s about to unfold!

Disney Receives Fan Backlash After Casting Rachel Zegler As Snow White
Disney is facing backlash to the latest casting.
The 22-year-old actress has drawn a lot of criticism after admitting that she ‘hated’ the original 1937 version of the film and called the plot ‘strange,’ with reference to the Prince Charming role as a ‘stalker.’
The high-profile Disney film is set for release in March 2024, and it is now anticipated that company officials will be “having crisis talks” in order to seriously reduce damage after the unfavourable response to Rachel’s interview will has gone viral all over TikTok.
The actress shot to fame playing the part of in ‘West Side Story’ as María and is set to star in the hotly anticipated prequel ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’.
On TikTok, some people expressed their belief that Zegler unintentionally attributed antifeminist emotion to Snow White in an effort to make the figure more feminised. Others attacked Zegler, a Latina performer who has previously experienced racial criticism over her inclusion in the live action adaptation.
As the story often tells the tale that the princess got her name because her skin is ‘white as snow’ many fans are unsure that Zegler was the correct choice to portray her although Disney stands by its decision to update the old classics with it’s new castings.
The Little Mermaid received the same response from fans when actress Hailee Berry was cast as she looked different to the caucasian Ariel depicted in the Disney animation however the film was still successful making over $450 million worldwide.
As well as backlash to Zegler the series is also facing problems after the famous seven dwarves have been changed to ‘magical creatures’ of all heights, sizes and genders’.
What do you think of this casting choice by Disney? Are you excited for this live action remake or is this a film that you will be giving a miss?
DISNEY’S LIVE ACTION NAMED ‘SNOW WOKE’ AS 7 DWARFS REPLACED BY MAGICAL CREATURES OF ALL SIZES AND GENDERS
Disney’s Live Action Named ‘Snow Woke’ As 7 Dwarfs Replaced By Magical Creatures Of All Sizes And Genders
Disney’s Live-Action ‘Snow White’ Faces Backlash Over Changes to Seven Dwarfs
Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of “Snow White” is facing criticism for its modernized portrayal of the seven dwarfs as “magical creatures” encompassing various sizes and genders. The film, set to release next year, features Hispanic actress Rachel Zegler as the iconic fairy tale heroine. Recently, set photos from Bedfordshire, England showed a Snow White stand-in accompanied by a diverse group of brightly colored companions, sparking debate about the film’s departure from the 1937 animated classic.
Critics took to social media to express their discontent with the new approach, with some deriding it as being overly politically correct. The backlash was accompanied by hashtags such as “#GoWokeGoBroke” and comments like “Looks like the Woke don’t care much for dwarves” and “Snow white and the seven diversity hires.” Concerns were also raised about the absence of Prince Charming in the storyline and the film’s focus on Snow White’s leadership aspirations.
Early on, “Game of Thrones” actor Peter Dinklage, who has dwarfism, voiced his criticism of the film’s portrayal of disability. He questioned the decision to cast a Latina actress as Snow White while maintaining the narrative of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Dinklage expressed frustration with the continued depiction of seven dwarfs living together in a cave, calling it a backward story that reinforces stereotypes.
In response to the backlash, Disney stated that it was taking a “different approach” to avoid perpetuating stereotypes from the original film. The company mentioned consulting with members of the dwarfism community in reimagining the characters. Zegler, known for her role as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 remake of “West Side Story,” defended the changes, highlighting the need for a refreshing and empowering narrative that goes beyond the traditional “Prince Charming” storyline.
The upcoming “Snow White” remake is penned by “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig and directed by Marc Webb. Despite the immense backlash the film has received since its announcement, it aims to offer a contemporary take on the beloved tale, presenting a Snow White with aspirations and a purpose that extends beyond waiting for her prince.
Piers Morgan debates Disney’s decision on his Uncensored show on YouTube.
And NOW it seems that the movie is set to be postponed after the righter strikes are still ongoing in the US. Originally scheduled for March 22nd, 2024 reports online have stated that the film will be pushed back and the film is yet to be completed as reshoots are still pending since the strikes began.
It seems a growing part of the internet has bad feelings towards the movie and it’s stars while others are excited for the update. We will have to wait and see exactly what this princess fairytale turns out to be like and if audiences will get the happy ending they are after.
‘Snow White’ Star Rachel Zegler Axed From The Movie And Other Roles
Several years ago, The Walt Disney Company embarked on a grand mission—to breathe new life into their classic animated films through live-action adaptations. The result? A mixed bag of cinematic gems and box office busts, ranging from the visually stunning “The Lion King” (2019) and “The Jungle Book” (2016) to the enchanting “Cinderella” (2015).
This year, Disney+ debuted “Peter Pan & Wendy,” adding to their roster of live-action adaptations. However, their second attempt to leverage a beloved theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” (2023), ended up haunting them at the box office, becoming a colossal disappointment.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” (2023), the fifth and final installment in the iconic franchise, also hit a rocky path at the box office despite its staggering $250 million budget.
Now, Disney fans are eagerly awaiting the live-action remake of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937), but not without some serious reservations. This upcoming reimagining of the classic fairytale boasts Hollywood stars like Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.
Rachel Zegler, who takes on the role of Snow White, has been unapologetically critical of the original film, questioning its themes at every turn. Zegler, known for her work in “West Side Story” (2021) and “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” (2023), has even hinted at major changes to the love story, suggesting that the prince’s scenes might be axed entirely.
In her view, the original Snow White was a helpless damsel in distress solely saved by a prince. Zegler believes this trope doesn’t fit the character. She has humorously toyed with the idea of eliminating the Prince character altogether, emphasizing that Snow White doesn’t need a romantic subplot to assert her power.
These comments have polarized fans, sparking intense speculation about the film’s outcome. Zegler has gone as far as joking that the film might never see the light of day due to her candid remarks.
Adding to the drama, Rachel Zegler has been dropped from another project—Paddington 3. This heartwarming series starring the beloved bear has become one of the most cherished family-friendly franchises. The second installment holds one of the highest critic scores on Rotten Tomatoes, and the third film is expected to follow suit. Zegler, initially attached to the project, has been removed from it.
Reportedly, Zegler’s removal from Paddington 3 is a consequence of the ongoing Hollywood strikes, which have disrupted numerous projects across television and film production. Streaming giants like Disney+, Netflix, and Max have all felt the impact of these strikes.
As the controversies continue to mount, Disney’s live-action “Snow White” faces another storm—its decision to exclude the dwarfs from the film. Disney’s choices have raised eyebrows and prompted accusations of being overly “woke.”
Despite the controversies, Disney’s live-action “Snow White” is set to hit theaters on March 22, 2024, promising to deliver a fresh take on a beloved classic. The world eagerly awaits to see if this daring gamble will pay off!
