THE MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIE RELEASES: COMING 2023
The first official trailer for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the newest entry in the franchise written by best-selling author Suzanne Collins, has been released by Lionsgate.
Director of three previous Hunger Games films Francis Lawrence is at the head of the new film with an all star cast comprising Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis.
AMBER HEARD CONFIRMED TO BE IN THE NEW AQUAMAN FILM
The official synopsis of the film reads:
‘Years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. With the 10th annual Hunger Games fast approaching, the young Snow is alarmed when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, the girl tribute from impoverished District 12.
But, after Lucy Gray commands all of Panem’s attention by defiantly singing during the reaping ceremony, Snow thinks he might be able to turn the odds in their favor. Uniting their instincts for showmanship and newfound political savvy, Snow and Lucy’s race against time to survive will ultimately reveal who is a songbird and a snake!’
The original Hunger Games book trilogy was split into 4 movies that captivated the world and made stars of it’s main cast, Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. This new film sets us back to the 10th annual games before they have been fully realised within the world of Panem so although we won’t see any of the characters we loved from these films the style, costumes and sets will all be reminiscent of what’s to come.
