It is with greatest sympathy that we inform you, Stephen “tWitch” Boss passed away at the age 40.

Boss was best recognised for his role as The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s renowned DJ.

In a statement released on Wednesday (December 14), his wife Allison Holker acknowledged his passing, saying: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to reveal my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen brought light into every space he entered.

“He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

Holker continued: “To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honour his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

According to TMZ, Holker “frantically” went to the Los Angeles Police Department on Tuesday (December 13) to report that Boss had unusually left home without his automobile.

According to the publication, the police later found Boss dead from what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot after responding to a call of a shooting at a LA hotel.
