As they provided a depressing update on his health, Bruce Willis’ family expressed their hope for a miracle this Christmas.

The renowned actor, 67, appeared in blockbuster movies like Armageddon, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, and The Sixth Sense.

In addition, Willis made a well-known cameo in Friends, for which he won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.

However, in his most recent movies, the cast started questioning the actor’s well-being.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the actor’s coworkers noticed that he frequently appeared bewildered and unsure of his purpose on production.

The others around him also saw that he was wearing an earphone to hear his lines.

Then, after receiving an aphasia diagnosis, Willis’ family made it known that he was giving up acting.

The disease, which has an impact on communication, is brought on by injury to the areas of the brain that control language comprehension and production.

Aphasic individuals frequently struggle with reading, listening, speaking, typing, or writing.

The news was announced in an Instagram post shared by his daughter Rumer.

She said: “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.

“As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

The post was signed off by Willis’ wife Emma, his ex-wife Demi Moore, and his children.

His family has now provided another update on the actor as Christmas approaches.

A source close to the family told RadarOnline that the festive season is a ‘special time for the family’ and they will continue their usual traditions.

“The family traditions they loved continued, like their pyjama parties and game nights,” they revealed.

The source also added that his older children, who he had with Moore, are ‘cherishing every moment’ they have with him this Christmas period.

They continued: “There are days when they see glimpses of the old Bruce, but they are brief and far between.

“It seems he’s slipping further away from them, and it breaks their heart.

“With Christmas around the corner, all they can do is tell him they love him and pray for a holiday miracle.”

The source added that Willis’ wife Emma and his ex-wife Moore have grown closer as they cherish every moment they have with the actor.

The anonymous source told the outlet: “Demi has been in constant contact with Bruce and Emma.

“She’s taking every opportunity she can to spend time with him. If she’s not there by his side, she’s calling on the phone just so Bruce can hear her voice.”

This comes as Sylvester Stallone, Willis’ co-star and buddy, said that watching Willis struggle with his health is “killing” him.

Bruce is going through some really, really terrible times, according to the Rocky icon.

“So, he’s been a little bit cut off. That kills me. It’s really sad.

Following a backlash following the actor’s aphasia diagnosis, The Razzies withdrew a harsh Bruce Willis award from the ceremony the previous year.

The worst performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie is a category that was invented for the Hollywood A-lister at the awards show, which is hosted the day before the Oscars.
