The old smock mill was constructed around 1816, and film makers cosmetically renovated the outside so it would fit within the film

The mill was purchased in 1971 by actress Hayley Mills and her husband Roy Boulting, who later restored it.

In the 1980s, Sir David Brown, owner of Aston Martin, sold the land to the mill’s present owner.

The main home, double garage, and swimming pool are all included in the purchase of the Grade II-listed windmill which are all new additions. In these two photos you can see how the property has rapidly changed since filming in 1968 yet has still retained a country feel.

A sizable tractor barn, a workshop, a store and a stable building are all included in the acres of area.

Stephen Christie-Miller, the head of Savills Henley, suggested that “international buyers that are looking for the best of the best” may be drawn to the “iconic” home.

Looks like someone will be getting themselves a lovely new property and part of film making history!
