The clown prince of chaos is back, and he’s ready to dance in the spotlight once again. After an agonizing six-month silence, the much-anticipated 2024 flick, “Joker: Folie à Deux,” has finally broken its silence.

Forget everything you thought you knew about the Joker, because this one’s going to be a game-changer. “Joker: Folie à Deux” is set to redefine the DC cinematic universe as we know it, slotting itself into DC’s cutting-edge Elseworlds brand—an alternate reality where anything goes.

This ain’t your typical superhero flick; it’s a whole new ball game!

Phillips, ever the tease, took to Instagram to drop a bombshell image.

And what an image it is! Picture this: Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck, standing defiantly in the pouring rain, surrounded by a sea of colorful umbrellas held by an array of mysterious figures. But this isn’t just any rainy day—it’s a cinematic moment, a peek into the twisted mind of the Joker.

Remember the mind-bending conclusion of the 2019 Joker film? Well, it’s about to get wilder. Arthur Fleck found himself in the infamous Arkham Asylum, or as they’re calling it here, Arkham State Hospital. Everything we thought we knew about the film’s reality was thrown into question, mirroring Arthur’s own fragile grasp on sanity, particularly his tumultuous relationship with Zazie Beetz’s character, Sophie Dumond.

Now, in “Joker: Folie à Deux,” we’re about to dive even deeper into the rabbit hole. Phillips’ image hints at Arthur’s relentless quest to break free from Arkham’s grip, and he’s not doing it alone.

Enter Lady Gaga as the enigmatic Harley Quinn! That’s right, folks, the pop sensation is trading her microphone for a mallet, and her role in this flick is set to be legendary.

But here’s the real showstopper—brace yourselves, because “Joker: Folie à Deux” is going to be a musical extravaganza! Phillips’ tantalizing image gives us a glimpse into a mesmerizing musical sequence, with Arthur’s soulful expression soaking in the rain, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of umbrellas.

New Joker: Folie à Deux set photos were posted on Twitter by the account @GAGAIMAGES, with one particular image depicting a newspaper from the film that shows Lady Gaga as her character having her mugshot with the news heading “Harleen Frances Quinzel”.

The newspaper seems to confirm that Gaga WILL be playing Joker‘s sidekick Harley Quinn, and not just a character inspired by the DC anti-heroine.

PEOPLE ONLY JUST REALISING HOW RUDE THE LYRICS TO LADY GAGA’S POKER FACE ARE

In the well-known comic book plot, Harley Quinn first appears as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, the Joker‘s psychiatrist, before she falls madly in love with him and agrees to serve as his sidekick. It appears the new film has changed this narrative and instead is showing both characters to be patients at Arkham, which the newspaper also proves will happen in the new movie.

Making this massive change to how the Joker and Harley meet and become entangled in their deranged romance could allow for a spectacular performance from Gaga.
Without a doubt Gaga will be compared to her predecessor Margot Robbie who also gave a brilliant performance, the same way that Phoenix was compared to Heath Ledger- but we are excited to see how this classic comic couple will appear when on the big screen.

Phoenix earned his Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the original film and with Gaga (a fellow Oscar winner) also starring alongside him – we know that this is a match made in comic book heaven and will most certainly be the film of 2023!

People Are Only Just Realising Miss Honey Actor Is Also In Bridget Jones’s Diary

Did you spot Miss Honey in Bridget Jones?

Check the date. Confirm your birthdate. Consider yourself to have reached the age of “today years” when you discovered Miss Honey from Matilda also appeared in Bridget Jones’s Diary.

You’re probably saying, “But I’ve seen both of those films SO MANY TIMES! I can’t believe I overlooked the connection for this long.

Either that or: “Yeah, obviously, didn’t everyone know that?”

No, not everyone knew that, as evidenced by the simple presence of the aforementioned group of individuals, and some people are still learning about it now, 26 years after the release of Matilda and 21 years after the release of Bridget Jones’s Diary.

Since Matilda is a more family-friendly and older than Bridget Jones’s Diary, most people would have first encountered actor Embeth Davidtz in her role as the loving teacher who adopted Matilda. She went so far as to adopt Matilda as her own kid, providing the magical youngster with the escape from her cruel headteacher and inattentive family that they desperately needed. Not to give anything away, but it’s 26 years old.

It’s simple to understand why she faded into obscurity as we all got a little older and saw her again in Bridget Jones’s Diary with darker hair and a less endearing character.

In the movie, Davidtz played Natasha, Mark Darcy’s colleague who finishes up getting engaged to him, much to Bridget’s dismay.

One moviegoer who heard of the recognisable cast member a few weeks ago tweeted their surprise at the realisation, which has stunned many fans of the movies.

“How the f*ck have I only just clocked that Miss Honey from Matilda and Mark Darcy’s horrible snobby fiancée in Bridget Jones are the same person,” they wrote.

Sharing the surprise, another Twitter user commented: “Can’t believeeeeee Miss Honey is the snotty babe from Bridget Jones.”

She really had us all fooled with her ability to transform from a sweet schoolteacher to the woman who stole Bridget’s man; I think the fact that so many people went years without making the connection between Davidtz in the role of Miss Honey and Davidtz in the role of Natasha goes a long way to proving what a good actor she was.

Given that the revelation is still occurring more than 20 years later, I anticipate that many others will continue to draw the connection in the years to come. I’ll just quickly add that Davidtz’s acting resume also includes roles in such films and television shows as Schindler’s List, Thir13en Ghosts, Scrubs, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mad Men, The Amazing Spider-Man, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Morning Show.
