Hold your breath, folks, because this is one wild fishing story! An 11-year-old boy was left REELING after he hooked an exotic fish in his local pond.
Charlie Clinton, a passionate angler from Oklahoma, ws fishing in his nearby pond, expecting the usual fishy suspects until he caught something special! But guess what he caught?

He caught an exotic fish not native to his area that had teeth that looked just like a humans!
Charlie bravely battled the mysterious creature and pulled it with excitement to show his mum proudly saying it ‘put up a heck of a fight’, and that he ‘was the only one down there fishing and he did a great job’ of catching it.

But here’s the surprising twist: this type of fish, called a Pacu, isn’t your everyday pond buddy in Oklahoma. Nope, it’s a traveler from faraway lands! The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) experts think this Pacu used to be someone’s pet, and sadly, they let it loose in the pond.
When pets like this get dumped in the water, it can mess up the whole fishy ecosystem and cause trouble for other fish.
After catching the fish young Charlie Pacu back into the pond unaware that it shouldn’t have been there in the first place but as it was a catch and release pond he thought he was doing the right thing.
We have reached out to the fish in question for comment but so far…we haven’t had a BITE!
