‘I don’t want to be a pie….I don’t like gravy!’ is just one of the lines that make the original Chicken Run a hit film and now it’s finally getting a sequel!
At the 67th BFI London Film Festival, the much awaited sequel “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget” will make its international debut!

The movie is the follow-up to “Chicken Run,” the highest-grossing stop-motion animated picture of all time from the company Aardman who created Wallace and Gromit and the spin off Shaun the sheep. Sam Fell who directed Flushed away is directing the film which has the movie industry very excited!

The sequel sees our favourite chicken Ginger on her tranquil island refuge with the flock entire flock, away from the perils of the human world, after escaping from Tweedy’s farm. It seems that Ginger’s happy ending is complete when she and Rocky give birth to a daughter they call Molly.
However, the entire chicken species is now exposed to a new, horrific threat back on the mainland and our character will have to rescue the whole of chicken kind!
Thandiwe Newton, Bella Ramsey, Lynn Ferguson, David Bradley, Jane Horrocks, Zachary Levi, Daniel Mays, Josie Sedgwick-Davies, Imelda Staunton are among the voice actors in the film which looks to be a hit of the year!

On October 14, the movie will have its international debut at London’s Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, with preview screenings of the movie happening simultaneously at other cinemas all across the United Kingdom.
On December 15, Netflix will release the movie throughout the world on it’s streaming platform, just in time for Christmas family watching.
We can’t wait to see what these chickens have been up to and what peril awaits our gang of hens and roosters!
