Over the course of his career, the actor has featured in a number of critically panned films, such as Grown Ups, Jack and Jill, Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds, and a few others.

On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Sandler discussed how working with Kathy Bates on the 1998 film The Waterboy helped him deal with criticisms

I remember Kathy Bates in Waterboy, and I loved her and I loved everything she did,” Sandler said. “I remember telling her when somebody brought up critics that I was like, ‘They’re probably not gonna like it. They’re probably gonna say bad stuff, maybe don’t read it.’ And she said, ‘Well, I like it, so that’s all that matters,’ or something like that. She was cool.

The film is set to be an interesting production focusing on the jewish community and bringing their representation and this story to a huge audience on Netflix.
