Given what Ryan Reynolds has accomplished for Wrexham FC, it makes sense that many supporters believe he possesses superhuman abilities.
A-list actor was spotted in a squad photo from 1878, which has some fans believing he can travel through time. Yes, you read that correctly.
Although the Deadpool actor hasn’t yet made a comment on the picture, Reynolds’ fans have been hilariously responding to it on social media.
The picture was first posted to the Welsh team’s Twitter account and depicts the Wrexham FC squad after defeating the Druids in the cup final.
A recognisable face can be seen in the left-hand corner of the photo, which was taken more than a century ago even though it is nowhere near HD resolution.
The unidentified man even has the Deadpool actor’s distinctive look, despite several of the men having larger handlebar moustaches and more conventional hairstyles.
The fact that Reynolds does not have Welsh ancestry—rather, his family is descended from Scotland and Ireland—makes the situation even more bizarre. (The more you know, eh?)
The A-Lister recently played a time traveller in Netflix’s The Adam Project, which came out in the same month as the social media post with the similar title.
Naturally, it caught the attention of the Wrexham supporters, with many remarking on the Victorian man’s startling likeness to the owner of the Canadian football team.
Commenting on the post, one fan excitedly called Reynolds ‘the ultimate time traveller’ with another adding that it was the actor’s ‘previous life’.
A third wrote: “Omg previous life of RR.. also looks like Damien Lewis.”
The celeb spotting continued, with some even joking that they’d spotted other comic book actors in the archival photo, writing: “Dude, is that Tom Holland behind you? With Ben Affleck to the right of him? Woah.”
Another teased the A-Lister, referencing his long-running rivalry and bromance with Hugh Jackman, writing: “But it is Wolverine in the middle, right @VancityReynolds?”
But before you begin to put on your tin foil hats, the man has been identified by a Wrexham fan, who also offered a fascinating detail about the former footballer.
Tagging the Free Guy actor, they wrote: “@VancityReynolds this chap is John Price, born 1854. Welsh international, who played in that iconic 1st home Welsh international match against Scotland in 1877.”
Although it’s fascinating to know this fact, we’d rather imagine the actor is a time traveller for a little while longer if it’s all the same.

Deadpool 3 has a release date, and there’s something even more exciting in the works for Marvel fans.
In late September 2022, Ryan Reynolds made the unexpected announcement that Hugh Jackman would reprise his role as Wolverine in the threequel. It will not only be Wolverine’s MCU debut, but also Jackman’s return after his ostensibly final appearance in Logan.
Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin of Bob’s Burgers were originally announced as the writers for the threequel. However, it appears that the third film will be written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first two films.
Shawn Levy will direct, reuniting with Reynolds for their third film together after Free Guy and The Adam Project.
So when is Deadpool 3 coming out?
As previously stated, Deadpool 3 will be released in theatres on September 6, 2024.
In MCU terms, this means that the threequel is either the final instalment of Phase 5 or the first instalment of Phase 6. The latter is more likely, as Marvel did set an Autumn 2024 release date in Phase 6 for an untitled film or television show.
Even though we now have a release date, we don’t know when the film will begin production, but we’d guess it’ll be in 2023 to ensure a September 2024 release. However, there is always the possibility of delays.

Chris Evans, an actor, has been named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, and most online users concur.
John Oliver and Dwayne Johnson helped with the unveiling, which took place on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Watch below.
When Oliver and Evans were the two finalists, Colbert revealed the victory while Oliver watched from the audience, saying, “Hollywood movie star and incandescent supernova of hotness, Chris Evans!”
Instead of congratulating the 41-year-old former Captain America, Johnson, who was the 2016 Sexiest Man cover star, did so in a video from the set of their film Red One.
It means a lot coming from a former Sexiest Man Alive, Evans stated in the video.
Johnson asked his co-star to speak something “hot” into the camera before the video ended.
Evans replied, “Go cast your ballot tomorrow.”
Evans succeeds Paul Rudd, a fellow former Marvel actor, as the Sexiest Man Alive. Mel Gibson, John F. Kennedy Jr., and Sean Connery are examples of other winners.
Other Marvel actors to win the title of sexiest man alive are Paul Rudd, Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth. So Evans is likely to get a good roasting for his new title from his co-stars.
