Unfortunately, Netflix has not yet confirmed anything, but we do know that the show’s creators and performers are very intrigued. In a recent interview with TVLine, co-showrunner Miles Millar discussed the show’s future, saying: “We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles…Catherine [Zeta-Jones] is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”

Additionally, Alfred Gough, the dark drama’s co-creator and executive producer for Netflix, alluded to a potential sequel.“Miles [Millar] and I are talking amongst ourselves about it. There’s definitely more that you can explore in the world of the Addamses.” Alfred continued by saying that, similar to season 1, it is the intention to include some episodes with the rest of Wednesday’s family while keeping the main focus squarely on Wednesday.

In a spoiler-filled comment (read through if you haven’t seen season 1 yet! ), actor Gwendoline Christie also hinted at a sequel season and her return: “We haven’t seen her put in the ground, have we?” the Game of Thrones alum said in an interview with Digital Spy. “I feel like Larissa Weems would not really be prepared to entertain or be dominated by anything as commonplace as death.” No-ted!

A Wednesday season 2 has not yet been confirmed, thus there is no official word on who will return (or make their debut, for that matter) in it. But since we know you’re wondering, here is a list of everyone from season 1 who might return if the programme receives future seasons:

  • Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams
  • Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams
  • Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams
  • Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams
  • Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester
  • Gwendoline Christie as Principal Larissa Weems
  • Jamie McShane as Sheriff Galpin
  • Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe
  • Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin
  • Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair
  • Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay

Again, it’s difficult to estimate! However, if we look at the season 1 chronology, which was filmed from September 2021 to March 2022 (plus the approximately 8 months it took for the show to air), we can see that the entire production cycle took place over the course of about a year and a month.

We’d be looking at an early 2024 release date if Netflix wanted another season and followed the same production schedule for Wednesday, which would take six months to film and eight months to edit. BRB, bringing this timeline to life.
