It has finally come to pass. We can now visit a Harry Potter store and view all of his wizardly world after a 20-year wait. The store was of course greeted by a large hard core HP fans.
The store, located at 935 Broadway, near to the Flatiron skyscraper, claims to have the world’s greatest assortment of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in one location. The store includes 15 themed areas and is 21,000 square feet in size.
The enchantment of Harry Potter Wizarding World will be brought to life in each of the exciting themed areas. A total of 1,000 props are on show, including several that were actually used in the films.
Fawkes the Phoenix, one of Harry Potter’s animals, greets you as you enter the store. In the main atrium of the store, opposite to the Wand shop, there is a statue of a Griffin standing watch.
Visitors are welcome to snap photographs throughout the store. Posing inside a London phone box to inside Hagrid’s boots are all possibilities for photos.
There is a Harry Potter fan club app you can use within the store, and digital technology is used throughout the shop which enhances your magical experience! With enchanted keys visitors can unlock some facts and figures and videos to bring the store to life.
As there is so much to take in and see, you may need a pit stop! The store offers the ultimate Butterbeer Bar, which provides Butterbeer, Butterbeer Ice Cream, bottled Butterbeer, and other soft beverages to thirsty customers. (Butterbeer is a soft drink with a butterscotch flavour that will appeal to younger Wizards and Witches.)
As the world’s largest HP store, its designers spared no expense and went all out on it themed layout, and it certainly shows.
Every inch of the store has been well thought and planned.
It will definetely leave you feeling like you have had your acceptance letter to Hogwarts.
You may leave with your wallets a little lighter but your wizard heart a lot fuller!
