People are demanding Sandra Bullock’s Oscar for her performance in The Blind Side ought to be withdrawn since the man who served as the inspiration for the movie sued the family he moved in with.
In the 2009 film The Blind Side, Bullock portrayed Leigh Anne Tuohy, the female head of the family who took in Michael Oher who was a homeless youngster and looked after.

The movie, which received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture and helped Bullock win the award for Best Actress, is reported to be based on ‘actual occurrences’.
However now the 37 years old, Oher has filed a lawsuit accusing the couple who took him in of deceiving him. According to the legal documents submitted, Oher discovered in February that ‘the conservatorship to which he consented on the basis that doing so would make him a member of the Tuohy family, in fact provided him no familial relationship’
The lawsuit also asserts that Oher “at no time ever willingly or knowingly signed this document” and that the Tuohy family entered into a movie deal for the rights to Oher’s narrative for $225,000 plus 2.5 percent of future earnings.

Bullock starred as Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side, but there is no proof currently that she knew what Oher or the family may or may not have agreed to while she was filming the movie.
She performed the role so well that she earned an Oscar and although the lawsuit filing does not invalidate Bullock’s performance in The Blind Side, some film fans have argued that the award should be withdrawn in light of the charges made against the Tuohy family.
The actress has most recently suffered heartache after her husband Bryan Randall passed away suddenly and this is just another blow for the actress.
While many people want her Oscar removed fans of the actress have also defended her and the actresses performance and the great filmography she has created over the span of her career.
