According to reports, Nicholas Cage is being considered for the lead roles in the National Treasure and Face/Off sequels, two of his most well-liked films.
After years of producing low-budget independent films, the 58-year-old is currently experiencing a professional revival.
He made a movie called Pig in 2021 about a man who is searching for the one who kidnapped his pig.
Critics gave Cage’s performance high marks, and the film received a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Barry Hertz, from the Globe and Mail, wrote in his review: “[Cage] offers something genuinely special: a perfect performance, and one which could not exist without every other performance that the actor has ever delivered.”
Since then, Cage has had a prominent role in the meta-action comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, in which he portrays an actor by the name of “Nick Cage.”
This movie, which similarly earned £29.1 million at the box office, received positive reviews from critics.
With his next role in the vampire thriller Renfield, Cage has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors as a result of his return to form.
He may, however, be making a comeback with two of his most recognisable properties, National Treasure and Face/Off.
Since 2019, Kong vs. Godzilla filmmaker Adam Wingard has been working on the follow-up to the 1997 action movie, which also starred John Travolta.
