A new 25 second advertisement for Dior’s Sauvage fragrance has been released featuring the actor Johnny Depp.
During the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s divorce from Amber Heard and following slander prosecution, the company stood by him through the court case which he thanked them for.
Depp has served as a spokesperson for the fragrance for almost ten years, and he expresses his eternal gratitude for their continued support while his reputation was being destroyed.
In an interview conducted with GQ Middle East the famous, world renowned actor said:
‘I’ve been working with them for a while now. Of course, you develop a personal relationship with folks and keep close to them. They stuck with me through every single second, and that ups the stakes quite a lot for me: they trusted me, they believed in me, and they continued. That gesture is so noble and so rare!‘
‘Nobody does that, and the fact that Dior has, I thank every single person involved in making the decision to trust me and stick with me all the way from the bottom to the top and back down. I will forever be in their debt; I will forever be loyal‘
Depp’s new promotional advert for the fragrance is titled ‘The Call of The Blazing Sun of Sauvage Eau de Toilette’ and sees the actor reciting poetry with shots of the beach and dessert (a style seen in their previous adverts).
‘An eagle cries as it circles its prey. The blazing sun high in the ozone blue sky. A trail of cold wind stirs a land of dry wood and stone. This is the call of Sauvage.‘

According to Variety, Depp was expected to make more than $20 million over the course of the relationship.
A study from May of last year indicated a bottle of Sauvage gets sold every three seconds! Depp teamed up with Dior back in 2015, and the Sauvage scent was allegedly touted to be the best-selling men’s cologne on websites like Sephora and Ulta’s!
It certainly seems like a partnership made in heaven and fans of the actor will be happy to see him on their screens again even if it isn’t in a new pirates movie!
