While the jury is currently deliberating in Depp’s defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp surprised fans at a Jeff Beck gig in Sheffield last night May 29th.

Depp, who is awaiting the outcome of his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, boarded a plane following closing arguments on Friday (May 27), with a judgement due early this week.

Depp remained silent on stage during the three-song set, instead playing guitar with Beck to three classics by John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, and Jimi Hendrix.

Thousands of Jeff Beck fans packed into Sheffield City Hall to see the rock legend kick off his latest tour. However, the crowd was stunned when Depp walked out onto the stage alongside him.

While many were taken aback by his presence, a source close to the 58-year-old told CourtTV that it had been planned for quite some time.

“Mr. Depp is in the United Kingdom, like he was a few weeks ago, to adhere to his already scheduled work duties,” they told the broadcaster.

Depp took his ex-wife to court over an article she wrote in 2018, in which she claimed that she was a survivor of domestic abuse.

Despite the fact that she didn’t name Depp in the op-ed, he claimed that it ruined his career and cost him millions of dollars.

He sued her for $50 million as a result, and she countersued him for $100 million.

The jury was ordered away last week to make a verdict on the case, which had been pending for several weeks in a court in Fairfax County, Virginia after testimonies from friends, family members, professionals and celebrities including Kate Moss.
