In most of your favourite Hollywood films and TV shows there are some incredible child actors who help bring the stories we love to life! From Harry Potter to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory child actors play a huge role in delivering some memorable performances on screen…but what happens once the films are all done? Do they continue acting? Did the work dry up? Did they want to try their hand at something else?

Well here are actors in some of their most memorable roles and what they look like now!


Peter Ostrum

Peter Ostrum ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’

Peter Ostrum is most famous for playing the role of Charlie Bucket in the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory however this was to be his only acting role. Aftering quitting the industry Peter spent his life as a veterinarian.

Macaulay Culkin ‘Home Alone’

Macaulay Culkin is most known for his role in Home Alone and it’s sequel Home Alone 2 and has since then starred in a number of films as well as hitting the tabloids for some of his celebrity antics and bad boy behaviour. As well as playing in his band ‘The Pizza Underground’ Culkin also has two children with his partner Brenda Song.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore ‘E.T.’

Drew Barrymore melted our hearts with her performance in E.T and has since gone in to star in a range of big blockbuster films such as 50 First Dates, Charlie’s Angels and Music and Lyrics as well as produce many as well. Despite her previous trouble with addiction issues Barrymore has become clean and continued to raise awareness for her causes as well as fronting her own show ‘The Drew Barrymore show’!


Haley Joel Osment

Haley Joel Osment ‘The Sixth Sense’

Aftering seeing dead people in ‘The Sixth Sense’ with Bruce Willis and playing a robot child in A.I with Jude Law, Haley Joel Osment now finds himself leading mostly his voice to films, TV shows and games with project like Spyro the Dragon and Family Guy.
