When the reality TV superstar was first announced as part of the iconic series, some fans threatened to boycott the show. But after the premiere episode dropped this week, it seems Kim K has managed to win over even the harshest critics.
In “American Horror Story: Delicate,” Kim Kardashian shares the screen with stars like Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne. Roberts plays the role of an A-list celebrity named Anna Victoria Alcott, who is desperately trying to start a family, while Kim’s character, Siobhan, is all about keeping her eyes on her career. However, things take a dark turn when Siobhan undergoes a dubious procedure to become pregnant, and her world begins to spiral into chaos.
Viewers flocked to social media to share their thoughts on Kim’s newfound acting prowess. One fan couldn’t contain their excitement, declaring, “Brava @KimKardashian, very impressed with your first episode!” Another curious viewer pondered, “Why is Kim Kardashian kind of acting?”

The praise didn’t stop there, as another fan gave “MAD props to @KimKardashian’s acting skills in #AHS,” while someone else enthusiastically chimed in with, “Oh my gawd @KimKardashian, the acting skilllllllssss!! You’re doing amazing, Sweetie.” Some even went so far as to suggest that Kim deserves an Emmy Award nomination for her outstanding performance.
But, as with any hit show, there were mixed reactions. A few viewers felt that the series might have lost some of its signature edge, though it’s admittedly challenging to make a final judgment after just one episode. Interestingly, a handful of fans couldn’t help but draw comparisons between Kim’s character, Siobhan, and her momager extraordinaire, Kris Jenner.

The series, based on Danielle Valentine’s book “Delicate Condition,” follows Roberts’ character as she becomes convinced that demonic forces are trying to thwart her pregnancy. Showrunner Ryan Murphy spilled the beans to the Hollywood Reporter, revealing that Kim Kardashian’s role was specially crafted for the reality star. He added, “[Halley Feiffer] has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”
As if the suspense and drama weren’t enough, there seems to be an eerie spider-themed subplot lurking in the shadows, ready to creep viewers out over the course of the season.
Kim Kardashian herself admitted that her first major acting gig was quite intense. In a behind-the-scenes video, she shared her feelings about facing the camera in this new way, saying, “Anytime you try something, you just have to have the intention of growing and challenging yourself. Then you just kind of release and have fun.”
Added drama, she confessed her deep-seated fear of spiders, revealing, “These lashes were sitting on the counter, and I almost screamed because I thought it was a spider.” Looks like there’s more than just the plot to keep us on the edge of our seats!
