Jamie Lee Curtis has now acknowledged that she is trying to persuade Disney to take into consideration developing the comedic sequel to Freaky Friday after previously expressing her desire to reunite with Lindsay Lohan for a potential Freaky Friday sequel.
Curtis was once more questioned by The View in a recent interview over her opinions of Freaky Friday 2. Curtis’ unexpected response was her admission that she had “already written” the studio about the possibility of creating the sequel.
“Let me be the grandma! Let me be the old grandma who switches places,” Curtis said. “So then Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma, who is still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon. Simply, I would like to see Lindsay be the hot grandma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today.”
Since Freaky Friday’s 2003 theatrical debut, it has been over 20 years. In addition to receiving favourable reviews, the movie was a box office hit, earning more than $160 million globally against a rumoured $26 million budget.
