Practical Magic” Prequel Was In The Works
A “Practical Magic” prequel series for HBO Max was scheduled for 2019. The Owens family siblings would be the main focus of this 1960s New York-set adaption of Hoffman’s book “The Laws of Magic.” Jet, Franny, and Vincent Owen, three siblings who had been kept apart due to their anomalies, would be the subject of the one-hour pilot. They discover that they are descended from a witch family.
