If paddling through a flooded limestone mine, lighted by the brilliance of underwater LED lights seems like your idea of fun, then its time to head to Red River Gorge!

SUP Kentucky, a one-hour drive from Lexington, offers a number of outdoor activities, but the “Red River Gorge Underground Cavern Glow” is by far the most popular, taking passengers on a one-hour tour through an abandoned, 100-year-old mine complete with an underground waterfall!

Choose from Stand Up Paddleboards or the new Crystal Clear Bottom Kayaks from SUP Kentucky to see what’s going on (and swimming!) beneath you.

“Keep an eye out for rainbow trout, which frequently accompany the tour,” the company’s website warns. “You might spot a Kentucky brown bat resting on the limestone walls if you’re lucky.”

This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity costs $75 per adult and $25 per child (ages 3-12) and is limited to eight people. SUP Kentucky promises to capture cool shots of you and your group while you are on the tour. Single and double kayaks are available.

This experience really does look awesome and something anyone who loves water sports should try! You can check out more information at www.supkentucky.com
Kayaking is great but have you ever tried Sky Camping…
